My reimagining of the orchid is an ode to beauty both seen and unseen. It portrays the orchid not merely as a bloom of rare poise, but as a complete being, from its sculpted roots to its delicate crown.
Each petal and leaf is shaped from fine Italian crepe paper, hand-dyed and sealed with a whisper of UV protection to preserve its gentle life. The entwined roots, often hidden from view, emerge here as the sculpture’s heart, forming a graceful network that speaks of resilience, steadiness, and the quiet labour beneath beauty.
Standing approximately 42cm tall and 30cm wide, this Paper Orchid Sculpture brings a sense of breath and vitality to any space. Placed upon a pedestal, it draws the eye upward with a presence that feels both tranquil and profound.
Best admired in soft light and kept away from direct sun and moisture, this Paper Orchid Sculpture invites stillness, a reminder that every bloom owes its grace to the strength that lies beneath.
Paper Orchid
Each paper bloom has been lightly treated with UV protection to help preserve its colour over time. To ensure longevity, keep out of direct sunlight and moisture. Gently dust with a soft brush when needed.
