I am deeply honoured to have received the Best Artisan Award from House Beautiful.
The recognition was chosen by Richard Miller and the House Beautiful UK team. It carries so much meaning from such a recognised magazine and from Richard who is a celebrated potter. Through The Great Pottery Throw Down, where Richard appears as both judge and presenter, I have always appreciated the way he speaks to the contestants with such thoughtfulness. His words are considered, often beautifully chosen, and you just feel his deep respect for craft.

To now find myself on the receiving end of that same thoughtfulness is something I still find hard to fully put into words. His description of my paper botanicals, as pieces that “sustainably bring the vibrant beauty of the outdoors inside… these blooms spark joy year-round, making them a timeless, lively and uplifting addition to any home,” felt incredibly generous.
I would honestly love to turn that quote into a positivity poster, set against an image of a sunrise, and place it in my studio for my daily motivation!
I’m brimming with gratitude for all the support I’ve been given ever since I started this flower journey. Each milestone is made richer by the community that surrounds it. I look forward to keep on sharing with you what comes next.
The House Beautiful Magazine May 2026 is on newsstands now, and I am very much looking forward to holding my own copy in my hands. But you can also read all about this wonderful honour in here.
With gratitude, Beam
